Lesson ≠ bootcamp session

This is one official specific outcome. If a 10-session bootcamp file mentions CALM-C10, that file is an overlay starter only. Taxes, insurance, P10-P12, and the C11 capstone remain full-course lessons even when week-1 bootcamp is busy with other topics.

Employer and employee ethics, rights, and responsibilities include health and safety at a CALM level, fair treatment, and strategies for identifying discrimination. Not legal advice. Worked example (Cedar Bend)

Ethics: the kiosk will not advertise “this water cures illness” (false claim). Right: River can refuse an unsafe ask (mix cleaners). Responsibility: show up or call. Discrimination card: a fictional customer only wants “the boy” to serve them - River tells the teacher; the class does not debate the student’s identity. Private write-up optional.

Guided practice

Sort eight items into ethics / rights / responsibilities.

Near-miss to repair: using a different outcome’s template (a P12 confession prompt in a money lesson, or a real family budget in a health lesson).

Independent practice

• FOUNDATION: Write one safety responsibility (report a spill to the teacher).
• CORE: Connect a false health claim to ethics (R6/P13).
• PROFICIENT: Name a discrimination-response path that does not require public storytelling.
• ADVANCED: Write why HCS3000 content is linked, not copied.

Independent (solo) students complete the same levels on the Cedar Bend kiosk brief or the private packet. No group is mandatory.

Privacy box

Career artifacts may use a school-safe personal profile the student chooses to share, or a fully fictional Cedar Bend persona. No forced disclosure of family status, immigration details, or medical information. HCS3000 remains LINK_ONLY - do not upload certificates into OEOM.

Shared project (only where it fits)

Sustainable Community Water & Hygiene Micro-enterprise - Ethical claim in Milestone 5. Independent students write the same no-false-claim line.

Independent option (always on): solo “Cedar Bend refill kiosk” brief with the same given numbers. No family interviews. No home plumbing photos.

Misconception to repair

Rights mean no responsibilities; running a mock human-rights trial about a classmate.

Tutor repair: name the wrong idea, give the classroom rule, return to the persona card. No shame.
